Vehicle Details
This is a 1971 GMC K20 4x4 Long Bed Pickup. It was ordered new by original owner and driven until he passed 7 years ago. The truck was passed to brother who let it sit not wanting to deal with brothers passing. The Northwest weather took its toll on the sheet metal.
I acquired it recently and got it running. We added new distributor, Hei Cap, plugs, wires, fuel pump, starter and had carburetor rebuilt. We were were preparing to add new body parts when a logger fell a tree on the truck. My interest was crushed with the cab but loss of shop was the nail.
It runs and drives
This was a full option truck with air conditioning, tilt wheel, guage package with tach, HD suspension and sliding rear window. The option sheet in glove box is difficult to make out tor other details. There may be some value in door plate.
The owner rebuilt the motor into a 383. He had the resources and ability and built it right. A few professional mechanics all give it thumbs up and said the motor sounds excellent.

This is a rolling chassis ont hubs are frready for whatever body you mount to it.
It needs brakes. I have a but works. bew master cylinder but rear needs new hardware. Most of the wiring is intact. Frozen and havent been checked. Clutch is stiff. Transfer case, transmission and rear end are fine we believe. The bed had rust and was removed. Its yours if you want it. Frame solid.
The trucklooks like hell but isnt far from being a daily driver and with every part available these days it could be a 50k. Just use the imagination.
It it doesnt sell its my destiny to be smart and make it whole again.
