    Description

This is a working and tested General Electric 60" Carbon Arc Searchlight control box for model 1941 carbon arc  searchlight.
This will also work in a 1942 General Electric 60" searchlight. The only difference between the 1941 and 1942 is the way the
positive carbon rod gear drive is.  See the two in the photos.  The last photo is of a 1942 model. You can see between the two
that the 1942 model has a gear box to the right of the motor and the 1941 box does not. The 1941 uses a worm gear to drive the
positive feed rod. All components on the negative side are the same as well as the current relay, negative clutch and the positive feed magnet.
The unit was tested and works fine but you should clean it up and oil it before an installation.  I only tested it to be sure all parts were working properly
and did not perform any maintenance on it.
The case will mount on both 1941 and 1942 models.
    This unit weighs 38 pounds!
The motors alone for these boxes were 0.00 back in the year 2001.
