Restored Antique Pendant Lamp
Exquisite, antique, pendant lamp salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. Ceiling canopy, adjustable tubing, fixture loop, arms, top cup, bottom cup and finial are made of a
non-magnetic
, cast metal.
The piece has interesting details from top to bottom. The circular canopy and curved arms have embossed and etched egg and dart, acanthus leaves, anthemia, volutes, and other
Neo-Classical style accents.
The faux candle cover has an ivory color and was made to look like it has melted resin dripping from the upper edges.
"PAT NO 66584" is engraved on the inside of one of the arms.
At the point of salvage, the light didn't work and was painted with a flat, worn, white paint (see last 3 photos). Since then, we rewired it, and stripped the majority of the original paint and repainted all parts with a cool, antique-gold paint. Now, it works like a new lamp, but still has a classic look.
All parts are in excellent condition, free of breaks, cracks, chips, dents, etc.
It uses a standard size bulb
(not included)
, up to 75 watts. Light doesn’t come with any hardware to attach it to the ceiling.
